Decatur Rotary Club Announces Community Grant Awards
The club's goal is to positively impact DeKalb residents and children

Decatur, Georgia—Historic DeKalb Courthouse, July 8, 2024: The Rotary Club of Decatur, GA announced its annual community grants for non-profits of DeKalb County to support literacy and youth-at-risk in the community in its meeting at the historic DeKalb Courthouse in Decatur on June 21. At the meeting, checks were awarded and representatives from each organization spoke on how they will use the grant for a specific project to serve the community in one of the specified areas.
Dudley Larus, Decatur Rotary Foundation Chair, with Kelly Caudle, Chair of the Grant Committee, and Club President Doug Tozzi hosted the event. They welcomed representatives from each non-profit and provided checks to support their projects.

“We are simply overjoyed to hear this wonderful news! Please share our deepest appreciation and thanks to the Decatur Rotary Club for supporting this program,” said Fefe Handy, Executive Director of Page Turners Make Great Learners.
“Rotary places service above self and we work every day to be a positive force in the Decatur and DeKalb communities. While we conduct service projects throughout the year, one of our big service initiatives is our annual fundraiser which results in these awards to support projects that are vetted by our club and can have an immediate impact on our community,” said Rotary Foundation Chair Dudley Larus.
