DeKalb County Food Scores: The Rusty Nail Pub, Bawarchi Biryanis

DEKALB COUNTY, GA — Want to grab breakfast at Waffle House or try a new restaurant nearby? DeKalb County offers plenty of options no matter what you're in the mood to eat. Here's a look at the latest restaurant inspection scores from the past week.

A total of 12 DeKalb County restaurants and food-service operations were inspected since Sept. 2 — the last time Patch posted a restaurant score roundup — in Atlanta, Brookhaven, Decatur, Dunwoody, Stone Mountain and Tucker.

Of the 12 restaurants, 11 received grades of A, none of them received grades of B, and one received a C: Bawarchi Biryanis in Decatur. None received a grade of U, or unacceptable.

Each item on an inspection form has a point value ranging from 1 to 9 points, with violations deducting points from the best possible score of 100. Higher points are taken for items with higher risk to cause illness, while repeat violations take even more points.

Letter grades assigned are A for totals of 100 to 90 points, B for 89 to 80, C for 79 to 70 and U for less than 70.
