DeKalb Daycare Worker Accused Of Hitting, Throwing 3-Year-Old Boy: Reports
A mother said she saw a Clarkston First Baptist Academy daycare worker throwing her child and pulling his hair, according to reports.
DEKALB COUNTY, GA — A DeKalb County daycare is under investigation after a mother told police that she saw her toddler slammed to the ground and pulled by his hair on surveillance video, according to multiple reports.
The mother alleged the abuse happened July 6 at the Clarkston First Baptist Academy off Church Street, WSB-TV reported. Police told the news station that the worker also punched the boy.
The mother told DeKalb police that when she brought her son home he seemed upset and she found bruises on his arm, WSB-TV reported.

The mother told WGCL-TV that she saw her three-year-old son “punched in the face, pulled by his hair, slammed in the corner and pushed over a chair.”
The daycare’s director sent a letter to the mother concluding that the investigation didn’t see anything she described to the police, the news station reported.

According to the incident report obtained by WGCL-TV, a Clarkston Police Department officer said the video did show the child being thrown down several times, pulled by his hair and punched.
Police are investigating the mother’s accusations.
