DeKalb Murder Suspect Arrested In Killing Of 2

A man is facing malice murder in connection with the deaths of a woman and another man at a DeKalb County apartment.

DECATUR, GA — A man accused of killing a woman and man inside a Decatur apartment has been arrested, the DeKalb County Police Department said Tuesday.

Officers responded to the domestic-related incident around 7:45 p.m. Monday in the 4900 block of Snapfinger Woods Drive. Authorities did not say how the pair died.

Police said they arrested 25-year-old Christopher Mathis, also known as Steven Christopher Mathis, in connection with the deadly incident.

Henry County Police arrested Mathis around midnight Tuesday, and he was taken to the DeKalb County Jail, police said.

Jail records showed Mathis was arrested on charges of malice murder and theft by taking. He was being held without bond, jail records showed.
