DeKalb Schools, County Offices Adjust Schedules For Jan. 10
The DeKalb County School District has changed the school schedule for Friday. Here's the latest.

DECATUR, GA — DeKalb County schools and district offices will close Friday as Georgia hunkers down for a widespread winter storm that may be a menace to the East Coast.
School officials said students will have an asynchronous independent learning day, while staff members will work remotely on Friday.
"We will continue to monitor weather conditions closely and provide updates regarding any additional closures as needed," school officials in a notice.

Additionally, DeKalb County government offices and facilities will close Friday. This will include senior centers, libraries, recreation centers, the sanitation division’s customer service desk and the planning department’s One Stop Shop.
"Public safety and other county employees who are required to maintain critical operations during the inclement weather event should check with their supervisors for instructions. County employees who are not required to deal with the emergency conditions in person will work remotely," county officials said in a news release.
