Ex-Jailer Arrested On Drug Charges In DeKalb Co.

DECATUR, GA — A former jailer in DeKalb County has been arrested on drug charges, the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office said Monday.

Authorities said they arrested former detention officer Deshawn Robinson on Thursday. He faces charges of possession of synthetic cannabinoid, marijuana or K2 with the intent to distribute, items prohibited for possession by inmates and violation of oath by public officer, authorities said.

Robinson was released on bond, authorities said. Specific details that led to his arrest were unknown.
