Feast, Thanks For The Memories
I'll never forget a dinner with friends at Feast. Now that the restaurant is closing, share your memories.
My wife and I married on a beautiful Saturday in April 2009. The next day, we went out to dinner with guests from Plano, Texas -- Angie and Doug, Susan's best friend from high school and her husband.
Susan and Angie had reconnected after 25 years. I'd never met Doug or Angie until 48 hours earlier. We wanted good food, of course, but also a relaxed, casual space where we could hear each other talk.
We chose , a cozy neighborhood restaurant blocks from the more highly publicized restaurants on the Decatur Square. We sat on the terrace in back and enjoyed the spring breeze and the late afternoon sun.

We toasted each other and Doug told stories about serving in the Marines. Susan and Angie talked about the dumb things they did at Callaway High in Jackson, Miss.
We shared food with each other, cleaned our plates and ordered desserts. The waitress took our picture. Doug picked up the check. It was a good day.

Now comes the bad news that . Owner Teri Rogers needs to concentrate on her battle with breast cancer.
I'm not the only person in Decatur to get a little sentimental about this restaurant. It will always be part of my wedding memories. I know others have celebrated birthdays, anniversaries and other special events at Feast. If you'd like to share those memories -- and photos -- feel free to do it here on Patch.
We never met, Teri, but thanks. Get well soon.
