Hit-And-Run Kills Pedestrian In DeKalb's Scottdale: Police
A man was found lying on the roadway and was later pronounced dead at a hospital, DeKalb County Police say.
SCOTTDALE, GA — A man in his early 4os died in a hit-and-run Wednesday in the area of Lawrenceville Highway and Hollywood Drive, DeKalb County Police said.
The fatal crash happened around 7:30 a.m. The man was a pedestrian who was found lying on the roadway, police said. He died of his injuries after being rushed to the hospital, police said.
Officers are investigating the case as a hit-and-run, police said. They did not identify the pedestrian nor any potential suspects. The suspect vehicle was also not described.

"This is still early and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone who might have seen anything in the area this morning is asked to call or email DKPD," police said in a statement to Patch.
