Java Monkey Arson Suspect Identified, Warrants Issued
Java Monkey was seriously damaged in a fire two weeks ago. Police believe Rickey Hodges Thomas started the blaze.

DECATUR, GA -- Police have identified a suspect in the fire that seriously damaged a popular Decatur coffee shop two weeks ago. Rickey Hodges Thomas, 28, is suspected of setting the fire that damaged Java Monkey and also damaged two other restaurants nearby, Fresh to Order and Noodle.
The fire broke out late on Nov. 12, 2018. The coffee shop said on its Facebook page that it will be closed about a month while it rebuilds.
Thomas is described as a 28-year-old male, about , 5’10” and weighing 162 pounds.
