Masks Required Second Semester In DeKalb County Schools: Survey

The DeKalb County School district conducted a survey and found that 56 percent of students preferred the mask mandate.

DEKALB COUNTY, GA — DeKalb County School District will require students and staff to continue wearing face masks, according to a news release.

The district collected data from a survey on mask-wearing for the second semester from students and staff. Fifty-six percent of the 668 students who responded preferred a mask mandate for all. Out of the 6,000 employees that responded to the survey, 80 percent prefer the mask mandate continues in the second semester.

COVID-19 testing and vaccination clinics will resume in the new year, according to the release.
