'Mysterious Evening' Raised $20,000

Four mystery writers appeared at the event to benefit the DeKalb Library System.

Four local mystery and thriller writers helped raise $20,000 last weekend for the DeKalb County Library System.

Grant Jerkins, William Rawlings, Patricia Sprinkle and Amanda Kyle Williams along with 130 guests attended in the Decatur Library.

The DeKalb Library Foundation reported that the crowd enjoyed hors d’oeuvres and then was entertained with a mystery theater performance.

Also attending were DeKalb County CEO Burrell Ellis and Philippa Ellis; Chair of DeKalb County Public Library Trustees Jon Abercrombie and wife Frances; Library Director Alison Weissinger and husband Chris; DeKalb Library Foundation President Pat Pickard and Foundation Directors Mary Pat Crouch, Bill Harshman, Doug Selph and Sandy Zayac and husband Bobby.
