Berkmar Athletes Report Thefts
Members of the girls soccer team say somebody stole headphones, iPods, a phone and mp3 player from bags in a DHS locker room.

This information comes from Decatur police reports.
Members of the Berkmar High girls soccer team reported the night of March 2 that items were stolen from bags left in a Decatur High locker room while they played a game.
Listed as missing were headphones, two iPod Touches, an mp3 payer and a cell phone. The coach said the team had been told the room would be secured while they played.

A woman who lives in the 100 block of Geneva Street told police the morning of March 6 that her 2000 Hondar CR-V had been stolen from in front of her residence. The car was recovered the night of March 9 in the 3000 block of Grand Pines Drive, stripped and in bad condition.
A woman woman reported March 7 that her 1999 Dodge Caravan had been stolen from the fourth floor of the DeKalb County Parking Deck. That car was not recovered.
A resident of the 100 block of Emerson Avenue reported identity fraud on March 6.
He said he received a call March 5 from Cornerstone Bank Fraud Department reporting unusual activity on his business credit card -- two $400 transactions at the Nordstrom Rack store in Lakeland, Calif.
The man said he still had his card, which he quickly canceled.
Police arrested a woman the morning of March 13 and seized a 1990 Ford Mustang.
An officer on Commerce Drive stopped the car after a check on the license tag showed it had been reported stolen Dec. 27 in Hampton, Va.
The officer approached the driver after she parked at the Kroger. The driver said a friend owned the car and gave it to her.
Police discovered the driver, Virginia Jones, had a suspended license in Virginia. She was charged with theft by receiving stolen property and operating a motor vehicle on a suspended license.
A resident of the 800 block of Sycamore Drive reported March 5 that items were stolen from his mailbox. Listed as taken were three checks. No arrest has been reported.
