Virtual Semester Ends For DeKalb Students Using Online Flex Program: Report
DeKalb students using the district's online FLEX Academy program experienced technical and communication problems in the fall.
DEKALB COUNTY, GA — The semester for virtual learning is over for some DeKalb County students after repeated technical and communication issues, reported WSB-TV.
About 3,600 students were enrolled in FLEX Academy through the district, which also experienced overcrowding issues during the fall, according to the station.
Students work almost entirely independently when working with FLEX, which is why so many struggled, reported WSB. A report obtained by the news station showed that 46 percent of 21,000 FLEX grades were failing as of Jan. 14.
