After much consideration (and prodding), Beacon has ventured to re-address The Elemental Project, but this time as a one-year project, with all four Elemental performances taking place over the course of one season.

Beacon Dance will become the first organization ever to present a performance in the Decatur Cemetery, with The Elemental Project, 2011-12: Section 16, part 1 (Fire), on March 2, 3, and 4.

The performances will be held at 6:00 PM each evening, and are free and open to the public. Featuring a cast of 9 performers, Section 16, part 1 (Fire) presents a slowly unfolding ritual where the audience is able to navigate throughout the space to view the performance from a variety of perspectives.

With live sound accompaniment by composer Jon Ciliberto, the performance will bring a multi-sensory awareness to the peaceful and tranquil setting.
