What's Open, Closed On Thanksgiving 2021 In Decatur

Many services in Decatur are closed on Thanksgiving, Nov. 25, and some will remain closed Friday.

DECATUR, GA — The 2021 holiday hours vary across Decatur Thanksgiving Day. While Thanksgiving is a federal holiday, some services may continue their closures on Friday. Here are the openings and closings to know on and around Thursday, Nov. 25 (Thanksgiving) and Friday, Nov. 26 (Black Friday). Here's what's open and closed in the Decatur area this Thanksgiving.

Post offices will be closed, including libraries. Banks will resume normal business hours Friday, Nov. 26.

  • City Hall is closed Thursday and Friday.
  • There will be no trash pickup Thursday or Friday. Regular service for both days will be picked up Wednesday, Nov. 24.
  • City Schools of Decatur are on Thanksgiving break Nov. 22-26.
  • DeKalb County public libraries will be closed on Thursday, November 25 and Friday in observance of Thanksgiving.
  • Post offices will be closed. This is a federal holiday and all locations will be closed. No mail will be delivered or sent. Regular business hours will resume Friday, Nov. 26.
  • All banks are closed on Thanksgiving and will resume normal business hours Friday, Nov. 26.
  • North DeKalb Mall is closed on Thanksgiving, except for the AMC movie theater. The mall will have normal business hours on Black Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Perimeter Mall in Dunwoody is closed on Thanksgiving. It's open on Black Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • The Gallery at South DeKalb will be closed on Thanksgiving. Black Friday shopping hours are from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • The Mall at Stonecrest is closed on Thanksgiving Day. It will be open Black Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Northlake Mall will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. On Black Friday, it's open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
