Here are the top five stories in Douglasville today:

  1. The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is asking for help from the public in finding a man accused of stealing an air compressor. The suspect was seen around Dodson Drive in Douglasville. Surveillance footage shows that the man may have entered the home twice before fleeing with the air compressor. Investigators have released an image of the individual in case anyone has information on his identity. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
  2. The annual Music & Arts Festival on the Plaza has announced its upcoming schedule. There will be all-day entertainment from musicians, artists, artisans, and craftspeople, as well as items available for purchase. There will be hands-on activities for kids to inspire their creativity and let them have fun at the same time. The event is scheduled for Oct. 29, and admission is free. (All Events)
  3. The Keep Douglasville Beautiful initiative will be holding a Fall Recycling Event this weekend. In cooperation with the City of Douglasville and the Douglas County Lions Club, residents will be able to stop by and drop off all manner of items that they no longer need or want.
