- Yesterday morning, at around 10:00 a.m., an Amtrack track hit a car in Lithia Springs in Douglas County, causing a victim to be airlifted to the hospital. The car driver did not yield to the train, and as a result, it was struck and overturned. The driver of the car was taken into medical care with serious injuries, but the 32 passengers on board the Amtrack train, as well as the train's crew, have no reported injuries. (WSB Atlanta)
