New 2016 "top colleges" list includes 15 colleges and universities in Georgia.

Here are the Georgia schools that made Forbes' list of America's Top Colleges 2016, which included 660 schools nationwide, with their national ranking in parentheses:

  11. Mercer University (468)

  13. University of North Georgia (570)
  14. Georgia Southern University (580)
  15. Kennesaw State University (639)

Forbes used data from the Department of Education, along with payscale.com and the America's Leaders List to compile the rankings on the top 660 schools. They rated each school on post-graduate success, student debt, student satisfaction, graduation rate and academic success.
