Here are the top five stories today in Douglasville:
- Tonya Wideman of Douglasville is building a tribute for Deputy Koleski and Deputy Ervin Jr., the two Cobb County deputies who lost their lives last week. Both tributes will be bronze with a six to eight-inch angel on the bottom level along with lights and about 100 roses. The tributes will include about 200 signatures from local law enforcement agencies, firefighters, business owners, and more. (WSB TV)
- The City Of Douglasville won the 3CMA 'Savvy' award for its "Douglasville Jr." video series in the category of education/training video. The "Douglasville Jr." videos, released in April 2022, help elementary-aged kids learn about the function of local governments. In 2023, there will be another season of "Douglasville Jr." and all season one videos can be found on the City of Douglasville's YouTube Channel. (Press Release Desk)
