- Officials found the car of 17-year-old Yaron Kathuri, a missing Douglasville teen, at Arbor Place Mall. The teen has been missing since Wednesday, Sep. 28. On Saturday night, Oct. 1, Kathuri's family hosted a search party in the teen's neighborhood on Chapel Village Court in Douglasville. - A House study committee has begun a series of hearings to discuss Georgia's housing market. Experts say the housing supply is far too low to meet the demand, especially affordable housing. Banks and other large investors are purchasing homes across metro Atlanta, which has strained the housing supply, according to Samyukth Shenbaga, managing director for community development at the Atlanta Regional Commission. In Douglas County, more than six percent of single-family residences are owned by such investors. (Henry Herald)
