- Douglasville police have made five more arrests in connection with the brawl at Arbor Place Mall that took place on Sep. 3. Officials say that have charged four juveniles on suspicion of disorderly conduct and affray, while one adult has also been charged on suspicion of obstruction and a false name. Police had previously arrested 19 juveniles and one adult in connection to the case late last month. (Douglasville Patch)
- Officials say a missing Douglasville teen was last seen at Arbor Place Mall, where his car was found two days after he was first reported missing. 17-year-old Aaron Kathuri first disappeared on Sep. 28 while on his way to school. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact Douglasville detectives at 678-293-1823 or by emailing gibbsb@douglasvillega.gov. (Douglasville Patch)
- Join the Douglasville Police Department for a spooky night of fun-filled trunk-or-treating at the Douglas County Courthouse on Saturday, Oct. 29! From 3:00-7:00 p.m., members of the department will be handing out candy to trick-or-treaters and cooking up delicious food. - On Tuesday, the Douglas County District Attorney's Office and the Douglasville Police Department teamed up for a Parenting 101 class. Guest speakers Alice Jackson and Tara Nichols covered various topics, including healthy communication, quality time, and mental health in parenting and in children. Couldn't make it? - Douglas County School System students can now use their student ID numbers as library cards for the public library. The new initiative was made possible through a partnership with the West Georgia Regional Library and equips each student with their very own PLAY (PINES Library Access for Youth) Card.
