Police Name Suspect in Waffle House Shooting (Updated)

Douglasville Police said the shooting happened after a dispute between two groups of people.

Douglasville Police have obtained an arrested warrant for a man suspected in Sunday’s early morning shooting that sent one person to the hospital.

Lafayette Napolean Bradley, 25, is wanted in connection with the shooting that occurred around 3:15 a.m. outside the Waffle House on Fairburn Road after a dispute between two groups of people.

“The altercation was between two groups of people who had been together at a party in Douglasville earlier in the night,” DPD said in a Be on the Lookout alert posted on Facebook. “At some point during the altercation Lafayette Napolean Bradley is alleged to have shot Paul Hampton of Austell, GA. The victim was taken to Grady Hospital for treatment and is expected to be released today.”

Douglasville Police are investigating an early morning shooting near the Waffle House on Fairburn Road.

The shooting happened around 3:15 a.m. Sunday.

“One person was wounded in the shooting that took place after a dispute between two groups of people,” piolice said in a statement on Facebook Sunday morning. “No arrests have been made at this time.”
