Police, FBI Seek Suspect in Villa Rica, Marietta Bank Robberies
Agents believe the robberies, committed on Aug. 14 and Aug. 19, were pulled off by the same man.
Villa Rica Police and the FBI are searching for a man wanted for two recent armed robberies in the area, including one Wednesday afternoon in Villa Rica.
Both agencies released surveillance camera images of the suspect taken during the robbery at a United Community Bank in Villa Rica. The robbery happened around 12:23 p.m. Wednesday, the FBI said in a news release.
The FBI further said the man is believed to be responsible for an Aug. 14 robbery at a BB&T branch in Marietta.

On Wednesday, the suspect, a white male, entered the United Community Bank location at 485 West Bankhead Highway, brandished a handgun wrapped in cloth, and announced the robbery, the FBI said.
After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, he walked out of the building and was seen leaving in a late 1990’s or early 2000 burgundy Ford Explorer SUV.

In the Marietta robbery, a lone white man entered the BB&T location on Whitlock Avenue with a handgun wrapped in a gray shirt. He left the bank in a red vehicle, the FBI said.
The suspect is described:
- White male
- Age: Late 40’s to early 50’s
- Height: 5-7 to 6-0
- Weight: 150-170 pounds
- Thin build
- Wearing: Beige-colored bandana that covered lower face, camouflage “boonie” hat, dark pants, beige long-sleeve button shirt
