- A Sweetwater Creek Elementary School teacher was honored by the Braves at their game on Wednesday evening. Anita Outlaw, a fifth grade teacher, was honored as the three-millionth fan at the ballpark this season. She was surprised on the field by the honor because she thought she was going out to say, "Play ball!" (Subscription: Douglas County Sentinel)
- Police identified two men last week as suspects in the disappearance – and assumed murder – of 24-year-old Allahnia Lenoir. Atlanta police officials believe Lenoir, a Douglasville resident, was murdered in the Peachtree Midtown Apartments and have named Diante Reynolds, 29, and Steven Oboite, also 29, as suspects. Lenoir's body has not been located despite multiple attempts. (Oxygen True Crime)
