Think Property Values Are Too High, Attend Free Appeal Class

DOUGLAS COUNTY, GA — The Douglas County Peoples' Action Committee is sponsoring a free property value appeal class in light of what, they say, is large increases folks are seeing in their property values during this current assessment.

The class will be held on Thursday, July 19, at the American Legion at 6449 Bankhead Highway, Douglasville, GA 30134. Doors open at 6 p.m. After a brief meeting starting at 6:30, class will begin.

Handouts will be provided and the instructor will walk people step by step through the appeal process. The group hopes that this will help save citizens of Douglas County hundreds, if not thousands of dollars, in property taxes.
