  1. Douglas County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested and charged Elizabeth Allen, Marshall Fleming, and Daniel Gillstrap with felony murder, malice murder, aggravated assault, kidnapping with bodily injury, and motor vehicle theft. The three are currently held without bond in the Douglas County Jail. The victim, Stiles Stilley, was discovered bound with duct tape in a home in the 2700 block of East County Line Road on Sep. 18. He had reportedly been dead for several days before he was found. (WSB TV Atlanta)
  2. The Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County (CAC) is offering a variety of courses and one-day festive workshops for every kind of artist. Events include Latin Dance Date Night on the first and last Saturday of each month, Beginner’s Guitar Lessons on Wednesdays from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., Sew Fluent on the first Saturday of each month starting in November, and more.   3. Registration is now open for Douglasville Parks and Recreation's Winter Youth Basketball league. For ages five through 12, practice starts Monday, Nov. 7, at Jessie Davis Park.   4. USA Bobsled/Skeleton announced the 18 athletes that will compete in the 2022-2023 USA
    Bobsled National Team in the World Cup competitions. This season, the World Cup for bobsleigh/skeleton will be returning to the U.S. for the first time since before the COVID-19 pandemic.
