Week's Weather in Georgia: Tropical System Brings Stormy, Windy Start

The headline for the region has to be the tropical system working its way toward the Florida coast on Sunday, but the story this week is sunny skies, and lots of it.

Before we get the sun, there's a chance of showers and thunderstorms Monday. Otherwise mostly cloudy and 84 degrees.

Tuesday will be windy as then Tropical Storm Colin works its way toward the Carolina coast, with wind gusts up to 20 mph.

Then, we'll be spoiled with sunny skies and warm temperatures, climbing to 92 degrees by Saturday.

Temperatures will reach the high 90s by the end of the weekend, before storm chances return in the next week, according to The Weather Channel.

Monday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 84. West wind around 5 mph.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 86. Northwest wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 83.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 85.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 91.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 92.
