Apartment Fire Displaces Residents Of 8 Units
Approximately 20 people have been displaced from the eight units affected by a apartment fire that took place Saturday.

DULUTH, GA - Approximately 20 people have been displaced from the eight units affected by a apartment fire that took place Saturday at 1:24 a.m. in the 3400 block of Sweetwater Road in NW unincorporated Duluth. No injuries were reported by residents or firefighters.
Upon arrival, firefighters deployed hand lines to begin their attack on the fire which had spread to the attic. The firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading beyond the attic.
Unfortunately, due to a combination of the power being shut off and residual effects of pulling dry-wall from the ceiling to confirm that the fire had been completely extinguished, a total of eight units are not currently able to be occupied. The fire investigator has yet to determine the cause of the incident.
