Armed Robber Knocks On Window With Handgun, Arrested: Police

A Gwinnett County armed robber who knocked on a woman's car window with his handgun before robbing her has been arrested, police said.

DULUTH, GA - Gwinnett Police detectives have identifyied the armed robber who knocked on a woman's car window with a handgun and robbed her, Nov. 8, outside of an apartment complex located on Breckenridge Boulevard in unincorporated Duluth.

Antonio Rafael Rodriguez-Calderon, 23, approached her vehicle, knocked on the window with a handgun, and demanded her belongings, police said. The man spoke Spanish during the encounter. The man took the victim's purse and fled in a white Toyota Camry that was driven by a woman.

According to police, he was identified via an anonymous tip. The lead detective was able to positively identify him as the suspect and warrants were obtained for his arrest. He is charged with armed robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and financial transaction card fraud. He is currently being held in the Gwinnett County Detention Center.

The suspects then went to two nearby gas stations and fraudulently used the victim's cards, police said.

The woman is only described as being a heavy-set female. She remained in the vehicle during the crimes.
