BCS Rankings 2012: Agree or Disagree?

Unsurprisingly, the Crimson Tide is at the top of the standings, but are the other teams ranked where they should be?

The initial BCS rankings of the 2012 football season are out and, not surprisingly, Alabama is ranked No. 1. The undefeated Crimson Tide (6-0) is also ranked at the top of the AP and USA Today poll.

But what about the other teams?

Oregon, which is currently ranked No. 2 in both the AP and USA Today poll, came in at No. 3 in the BCS. The second best team in the country according to the computers and the polls?Β Florida.

The SEC was well represented in the BCS top 10. In addition to holding the top two slots with Alabama and Florida, the SEC also hadΒ LSUΒ at No. 6 andΒ South CarolinaΒ at No. 7.

GeorgiaΒ narrowly missed making the top 10 and is currently ranked No. 11. Other top 25 SEC teams in the BCS includeΒ Mississippi StateΒ (No. 12) andΒ Texas A&MΒ (No. 18).
