Dead Insect Parts on Plates in Duluth Restaurant; 'U' Score Given

Duluth Restaurant Inspections: See the latest health checks of area eateries.

A Duluth restaurant recently received a "45/U" rating on a health inspection from the Georgia Department of Public Health.

Seoul Restaurant on 3585 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, Suite 136 had its latest inspection on Sept. 16.

Among the violations noted:

  • Violation of Code: [.07(5)(l) ] Dead roaches on prep table by black cooler. Dead insect parts on plates. Must remove dead pests.  New Violation.
  • Violation of Code: [.07(5)(k) ] Live roach (nymph) crawling on wall by hand sink next to back door; adult roach found crawling on wall by dishwasher. Must control the presence of pests in the establishment. **Facility is currently being serviced by pest control.  New Violation.
  • Violation of Code: [.04(4)(q) ] Large container of cut radishes stored outside. Food must be stored where it will be protected from contamination. Product DISCARDED.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation.

A follow-up inspection will be held in 3-10 days, the report said. Another 'U' score could result in the permit being suspended.
