Duluth High 2013 SAT Scores Up Slightly

Duluth High students increased their SAT scores slightly from a year ago.

According to a Gwinnett County Public Schools news release, Duluth students scored an average of 1537, up from 1531 in 2012. The 2013 breakdown was 509 in reading, 530 in math, and 498 in writing.

This also was slightly ahead of the composite average for all of Gwinnett, which was 1513. The national average was 1498.

It is the eighth Gwinnett class to take the version of the SAT that includes a writing section, the release noted. Possible scores range from 200 to 800 on math, reading and writing components.

 This year’s SAT results were down 5 points locally, while state and national scores remained the same, the GCPS release noted.
