Duluth Offers Amnesty for Some Warrants
The Municipal Court program runs through Sept. 30.

Updated Sept. 3
Duluth Municipal Court is having a "warrant amnesty" program for some offenses through Sept. 30.
According to a city news release, anyone having an outstanding warrant for failure to appear can have their $150 fee waived, and avoid the possibility of arrest, if they follow these steps:
- contact the Municipal Court clerk’s office, prior to appearing, to determine the total amount of the warrant(s);
- appear in person at the office of the Clerk of Court, at The Duluth Public Safety Building, at 3276 Buford Highway, Duluth, GA 30096, during business hours;
- post a bond in the amount of the fines and fees applicable to the specific charge(s). The person will then be given a new court date upon which to come to court to answer the charge(s), if the charge(s) require a court appearance. If the charge(s) do not require a court appearance, the posted bond may be used to pay fines, and the case may be closed.
