Here are the top three stories in Duluth today:
- Gwinnett County Public Schools secured a big federal grant that will help support young children before they even start kindergarten. The federal grant will go towards the Building Babies’ Brains initiative which supports parents in becoming their children's best first teachers. Every Friday for 90 minutes, the program gathers certified teachers, parents, and children under age 5 to work on developmental skills as they grow into the school system. The goal is to equip more students with the necessary skills for primary school and combat the looming data that suggests 52 percent of Gwinnett students entering kindergarten are unprepared. (WSBTV)

- Gwinnett County leaders are asking for community input about the Gwinnett Place Mall revitalization plans. Check out the two drafted concepts and provide your feedback online before they finalize one drafted concept around the end of May. (CBS 46 News)
