Free Community Concert Saturday Night

Come and dance to the music of Livin' Large in front of the Duluth Festival Center Stage.

Put on your dancing shoes for the free community concert hosted by the Duluth Fall Festival Committee on the Duluth Town Green Saturday, Sept. 22. Livin’ Large, a dance party band, is headlining the concert.

“Eddie Owen Presents” is providing bluegrass musician Roxie Watson as the opening act for concert that starts at 6:30 p.m. on the Duluth Festival Center Stage.

Concert-goers are welcome to bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnic suppers or to purchase food and beverages from vendors.

Other activities include a parade of chairmen wearing T-shirts from the years they chaired the festival, a memorabilia tent of festival artifacts, and complimentary desserts.

The fireworks that were postponed due to rain July 3 will be set off in the downtown sky after the concert.

The concert occurs a week before the festival opens.

The 30th Anniversary Duluth Fall Festival on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 29 & 30, on the Duluth Town Green is expected to attract an attendance of 100,000.

A carnival opens across from Duluth City Hall the Thursday before the festival and continues through Sunday. Discount carnival tickets will again be available for Friday and Saturday nights.

Festival components include a parade, arts and craft booths, food vendors, live entertainment, children’s activities, a road race, and more.
