The annual Gwinnett Multicultural Festival and County Government Open House will be April 27 at Shorty Howell Park in Duluth.

GWINNETT COUNTY -- Gwinnett Police, County officials and friends from around the world will come together for fun activities for kids, educational opportunities and intercontinental performances at the annual Gwinnett Multicultural Festival and County Government Open House on April 27 at Shorty Howell Park in Duluth.

“This free festival is both a celebration of the various cultures that make up Gwinnett and a County government open house,” said Cpl. Eric Rooks of the Gwinnett Police Crime Prevention Unit. “This an opportunity for people to build bridges across cultures and to strengthen the connection between our residents, the police and the County government that serves them. Residents can learn about the services available to them and meet the employees who provide those services.”

For kids, there will be bounce houses, an inflatable obstacle course, a dunk tank with a brave police officer to take the plunge and more. Youngsters can also enjoy a touch-a-truck featuring a helicopter, a SWAT vehicle, fire trucks and other specialized vehicles.
