Air Quality Awareness Week Emphasizes Clean Air

This week is a reminder that metro Atlanta and Duluth commuters can make an impact on air quality.

Air — we all need it to live and most of us probably want to breathe in the cleanest air possible. Air Quality Awareness Week, being observed Monday, April 29, through Friday, May 3, places an emphasis on clean air and what each of us can do to help improve air quality.

According to a post on Georgia.gov — the Internet hub of information for Georgia residents — this week is a reminder that there are simple, voluntary actions you can take to make immediate and positive impacts — one way you can have an impact on air quality is through your commute to work.

Would you like to carpool but don't know anyone you can carpool with? Georgia Commute Options offers free services to help drivers improve how they get to work, whether it's through carpooling or even vanpooling, transit or possibly teleworking.
