Jewelry Thief Swipes $14,000 Worth While Employee Distracted

Police seek information on a jewelry thief who swiped more than $14,000 worth recently from a Duluth business.

DULUTH, GA — Gwinnett Police need the public’s help in identifying a jewel thief who swiped more than $14,000 worth from a Duluth business Dec. 29.

A man took the jewelry from SR Jewelers, located at 2100 Pleasant Hill Road in unincorporated Duluth, while an employee was helping three other individuals and her view of one side of the store was blocked. During that time the man came in and was able to access a display case. He took at least 15 pieces of jewelry valued at over $14,000, according to police.

he is described as possibly in his 30s or 40s, 5’06” to 5’8” tall, and 160 to 180 pounds. He was wearing a grayish colored beanie with a white design, sunglasses, a black and gray jacket, pink polo type shirt, blue jeans and white shoes.
