Joe Marelle Honored at NCAA Coaches Gathering
Marelle presented with autographed ball and received standing ovation at NCAA Basketball Coaches Convention for his involvement with Coaches vs. Cancer.

Retired Duluth High School basketball coach Joe Marelle, a two-time cancer survivor, was presented an autographed ball from the American Cancer Society for his involvement with Coaches vs Cancer awareness.
Marelle also received a standing ovation for his speech at the American Cancer Society session during the NCAA Coaches Basketball convention Saturday (April 6) at the Atlanta Hilton.
Coaches vs Cancer raises awareness and funds for cancer research. College institutions throughout the country participate in various fundraising endeavors. The most popular Coaches vs Cancer event is a "suits-n- sneakers" event where coaches unite for a common cause – saving lives from cancer.
