The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Duluth.

Hello again, Duluth! Important update: You all, as readers, have made the Duluth Daily so successful that it is my honor to announce the next stage of the newsletter. Patch is looking for a local writer and entrepreneur to take the helm of the Duluth Daily. Although I have loved getting to know this community, we want to pass the torch to someone truly local to write about Duluth long term. So if you’re interested in earning extra income while making this newsletter a more valuable resource for your neighbors, learn more and apply here.
Here are the top three stories today in Duluth:
- The City of Duluth has recently announced a playground design contest for "visionaries and creators of all ages and skill levels." The City is searching for community members who can help them design the next piece of "playable art" in Duluth. Designs may be created using any medium, including pen and paper, 3D model, or digital design. If you're interested in applying, submit your application by May 13, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. using this Google Form. (City of Duluth)
- Looking for local Easter egg hunts for the little ones this weekend? Enjoy one right here in Duluth at Bunten Road Park and Community Center! On Saturday, Apr. 16 at 10:00 a.m., the whole family can stop by and search for colorful eggs hidden on multiple fields in the park. Four age groups will each be assigned designated fields to search. (Gwinnett Daily Post)
- Save the date, Duluth! On May 21, the Southeastern Railway Museum will be holding a Celebration of the Authentic Car, an event that showcases "authentic, unmodified, and historic pre-war cars" made in 1948 and earlier. Museum admission is required to attend the show, and anyone who wishes to enter by car must make a donation to the Museum in any amount. (Duluth Patch)
