Driver Killed in Hwy. 316 Wrong-Way Crash Identified

Gerson Ambrocio Hernan, 22, of Stockbridge, died March 30 after driving in the wrong direction on I-85 South and Highway 316 West in Lawrenceville.

Gwinnett County Police have identified the wrong-way driver who crashed into a railing and died early Saturday (March 30) after traveling in the wrong direction on I-85 South and Highway 316 West in Lawrenceville.

The driver of the 1997 Honda Civic was Gerson Ambrocio Hernan, 22, of Stockbridge, as reported by the Gwinnett Daily Post.

Speed and reckless driving appear to be factors in the crash, according to the article, and a pending blood test will determine if alcohol played a part in the collision.
