Suspect Sought in Deadly Hit-and-Run Collision
Gwinnett Police are searching for a woman, they say, who was involved in a deadly hit-and-run collision Tuesday night.

DULUTH, GA — Gwinnett Police need the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a deadly hit-and-run collision Tuesday night.
Shortly before 11 p.m., Gwinnett Police responded to a person hit by a vehicle call at 2001 Pleasant Hill Road in unincorporated Duluth. Upon arrival officers located a 50-year-old woman lying in the parking lot. She was transported by fire department personnel to a local area hospital with life threatening injuries. She later died as a result of those injuries.
The Accident Investigation Unit was contacted and responded to investigate the scene. During the course of the investigation it was learned that the suspect, only identified as a female possibly in her 20s, had an altercation with two women near the gas pumps.

The woman suspect went inside the gas station and paid for her gas and a few snack items. An unidentified man, which had parked a couple of pumps over from her, began talking to the woman suspect. A few moments later she begins to leave and has a verbal altercation with the two women that were at the pump next to her. She stops and the women appear to try to open her vehicle door and start a physical altercation.

The woman suspect flees by pulling around the gas pumps and one of the other two women tries to block her in. The two women again confront the woman suspect. They open her vehicle door and a physical altercation ensues. The woman suspect backs up and one of the two women is struck by the vehicle door. She falls and is ultimately run over by the suspect's vehicle. The suspect then flees the scene.
A vehicle that was parked next to the victim’s vehicle leaves prior to police arrival and the man who originally was talking to the woman suspect also leaves.
The woman suspect is described as a light skinned, woman approximately in her 20s, with brown hair in a “messy bun” style hairdo, wearing a dark colored Nike hoodie with another jacket over it, and matching sweatpants.
