Duluth HS Ranked No. 9 in Georgia

If your children attend high school in Gwinnett County, they may attend one of the best schools in the nation, according to U.S. News & World Report. And if they attend Duluth High School, they are studying at the No. 9 ranked high school in the state.

Nine high schools in Gwinnett County Public Schools were rated highly by U.S. News & World Report.

The rankings were released April 23. U.S. News & World Report magazine reviewed 21,035 public high schools for its 2013 lists. Eighty-eight Georgia high schools are included in the rankings.

The Gwinnett County schools ranked are:

• No. 1 in Georgia; No. 3 in nation
• College readiness: 100 percent (percentage of students who took and passed AP tests)

• No. 8 in Georgia; No. 460 in nation
• College readiness: 47.2 percent

• No. 9 in Georgia; No. 473 in nation
• College readiness: 46.7 percent
• Ranked No. 10 in Georgia in 2012

• No. 10 in Georgia; No. 489 in nation

• No. 11 in Georgia; No. 578 in nation
