Kile Glover's Funeral Held at Wieuca Road Baptist

Family and friends gathered for the funeral of Kile Glover on Friday at Wieuca Road Baptist Church in Buckhead. Glover is the son of Tameka Raymond, ex-wife of Grammy-winning pop star Usher, and Atlanta TV executive Ryan Glover.

A volunteer with told Buckhead Patch that while they are not directly involved with funeral preparations, it has been their goal to take care of and protect the family -- who began arriving at the church around 9:15 a.m.

The funeral was scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., and Atlanta police were on the scene directing traffic. At around 10:30 a.m., funeral attendees lined the front of the church as a procession of limousines and SUVs arrived at the church.

Glover, 11, and a teenage friend were in an inner tube being pulled on a boat when they were hit by a personal watercraft. Glover suffered severe head injuries, was subsequently declared brain dead and was on life support for two weeks. He died July 21 after reportedly being removed from life support.

The Georgia Department of Natural Resources has identified Jeffrey S. Hubbard, a family friend, as the driver of the personal watercraft. No charges have been filed in the incident, and alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the incident.
