Here are the top three stories in Duluth today:
- The Gwinnett Police Department is seeking the community's help to find a missing woman who, according to officers, has "several mental disorders." 20-year-old Kayleigh Abbott was last seen Wednesday around 4:00 p.m., at which time she got out of her mother's vehicle on Sugarloaf Parkway near Scenic Highway. According to police, Abbott is a "very social person [who] yearns for acceptance," but is also "highly impulsive and does not understand the consequences." Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact the authorities or provide an anonymous tip via CrimeStoppers. (Gwinnettdailypost.com)
- If you haven't finalized your weekend yet, don't worry: there are plenty of fun events in and around the Duluth area. For a fun Saturday in town, head over to Bunten Park and Community Center with the family for an egg hunt, or sign up for a "clay-date" night at The Hudgens with your partner. If you're looking for Easter Sunday plans, take a quick drive over to Social Fox Brewing in Norcross for its "Biscuits n Brunch." - The Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce and the Chinese Business Association of Atlanta have recently signed a partnership agreement. The agreement is designed to strengthen cooperation between the organizations, both of which work to strengthen businesses through both social and educational events. According to 2020 U.S. Census Bureau data, about 15,000 people in Gwinnett County identify as Chinese. (The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
