3 Injured In East Atlanta Barbershop Shooting

EAST ATLANTA, GA — Three people were injured Thursday in a shooting at a Flat Shoals Road barbershop, DeKalb County Police said.

The shooting happened around 2 p.m. When officers arrived, they found two people with gunshot wounds at the scene. Police said later a third person who had been shot arrived at a local hospital.

Multiple people were inside of the barbershop, where at least two suspects approached and began shooting, police said. A motive is unknown.

The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle, but then, wrecked the vehicle. Police said they then ran from the scene of the accident.

Two of the people who were shot were in serious condition, and a third person was in stable condition.

"Many witnesses fled before police arrived, and detectives are seeking assistance from anyone within the community who may have information," police said in a news release.
