LITTLE FIVE POINTS β Atlanta police continue to investigate the Saturday morning shooting outside the Wish Atlanta Boutique that left a would-be robber dead.
Sandy R. Ezzard, 36, was shot in the pre-dawn hours of June 22, when he tried to rob a group of people camped out overnight at Wish for LeBron James' Nike sneaker, the Nike LeBron X EXT.
Initially, police said the robbery appeared to be self-defense, based on witness statements.
However, a video from Wish's cameras β obtained by Fox 5 Atlanta β shows a second gunman firing at Ezzard, who is seen running away.
That second gunman, seen wearing a red-colored shirt, leaves the scene β but not before picking up what might be shell casings.
Meanwhile the Warner Robins gunman who, according to the police report, allegedly admitted to shooting Ezzard, stayed behind, and placed his gun on the sidewalk as he waited for officers.
Fox 5 Atlanta, which first reported the second gunman's existence, noted none of the eyewitnesses reported there was another shooter.
A police spokesman said the investigation continues but declined further comment, Tuesday.
"No additional information regarding that incident is being released at this time," Sgt. Gregory Lyon said.
