Crime Report: Pepper Spray Robbery; A Carjacking, Stabbing Between Acquaintances

Zone 6 crimes reported for the week ended April 27.

These are the most recent crime incident reports in APD Zone 6, which includes Grant Park, East Lake, Kirkwood, Old Fourth Ward, Candler Park and Inman Park, among others.

Zone 6 also includes portions of Virginia-Highland—Druid Hills Patch.

PEDESTRIAN - OUTSIDE-CITY STREET/STRANGER-Pepper spray/ Injuries - Victim stated he was at the location walking his dogs when he was approached by two black males who pepper sprayed him and took his keys. 334 MEMORIAL

Morning PEDESTRIAN - OUTSIDE-CITY STREET/STRANGER-GUN/ NO INJURY - Victim stated that 2 white men approached him produced what appeared to be a gun and took his wallet. 170 BOULEVARD SE April 24

PEDESTRIAN CARJACKING - OUTSIDE-PARKING LOT/STRANGERS-GUN/INJURIES - Victim stated he was outside the location waiting on his friend and was approached by an unknown black female who advised she was looking to find her friend's apartment. At which point she returned shortly with an unknown black male who pointed a gun at the victim, and ordered the victim into the trunk of his vehicle. He advised that just as the suspects were pulling, away he opened and escaped using the trunk release button, and saw a third BM suspect in the parking lot who also pointed a gun at him. During the same time the witness exited his apartment and the 3rd suspect got into the rear passenger side of a nearby Chevy or GMC full sized black truck.

1081 East Confederate Ave. April 18 Morning RESIDENCE - carjacking/STRANGER-GUN/NO INJURIES - Victim stated she arrived home and four to five young black males approached her. One of the males walked up to her and told her to get out of the car or he would shoot her. She advised that as she got out the male struck her on the side of the face with a dark colored pistol in his hand. 1168 VICKERS

RESIDENTIAL - OUTSIDE-CITY STREET/STRANGER-GUN/NO INJURY - Suspect entered the victims residence through the unlocked front door while she was at the table drawing and told the victim to stand up and walked her through the house looking for valuables. He took several costume style pieces of jewelry and her purse containing her keys, then fled in the victims newly purchased red in color 2004 Toyota Matrix. Officers were able to locate the stolen vehicle parked at 1940 Fisher Road SE.

Morning OUTSIDE - CITY STREET/ UNKNOWN/GUN/GUNSHOT WOUND-INJURIES Victim was found lying on the ground in a dazed state. The victim's left leg (calf) was swollen with a small amount of blood, and a small hole. Victim became very hostile with the Grady and needed to be sedated. Officers found a trail of blood around 15 yards long. 447

AVE SE April 22 Evening OUTSIDE - CITY STREET/Acquaintance/ INJURIES-STAB WOUND Witnesses advised that the suspect began yelling obscenities towards them. The victim began to yell back and a verbal altercation occurred. Afterwards the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in his left side, a physical altercation then occurred and the knife fell to the ground. The suspect then fled the scene, leaving behind a backpack with his personal information inside.
