Dozens Displaced In East Atlanta Condo Fire: Reports
Five children were among dozens of people who were displaced after a blaze at an East Atlanta condominium complex, media reports say.
EAST ATLANTA, GA β At least 20 people were displaced after a fire Sunday at an East Atlanta condominium complex, media reports say.
DeKalb County firefighters responded around 5:30 p.m. to the Colonial Way complex near Interstate 85, WANF-TV reported.
Flames consumed about 75 percent of an impacted building in the complex, WAGA-TV reported. The news outlet reported 20 adults and five children were displaced.

Drake Connally, who was reportedly scheduled to move on Tuesday, was one of the dozens displaced.
βAt first we thought maybe somebody was burning some food on the oven and then it just kept going,β Connally told WANF. βMy roommate kicked in the door and just yelled, 'The whole place is going up!β As soon as we opened the door, we just saw smoke billowing up the stairway. I got my phone, got my wallet, got my keys, and then I got the h*** out of there.β
