East Atlanta Man Charged In Shooting Of Teen

EAST ATLANTA, GA — A 30-year-old man is charged on suspicion of aggravated assault after DeKalb County Police say he shot a teen Tuesday who was accused of breaking into a car with two other people.

Police said the 17-year-old boy and the others were attempting to steal the car around 9 a.m. in the 3400 block of River Mill Lane, where the man was accused of shooting the boy during a confrontation.

The teen was taken to a local hospital with a non-threatening injury, and the two other people who were with the teen fled the scene, police said. The teen was charged on suspicion of entering auto, police said.
